This 4 day Clinic involved 6 riders and spectators. Once again Jenny and Ian kindly cooked a delicious lunch and their facilities were perfect for the rider's needs. In the mornings each rider had an individual hour of tuition with myself and in the afternoons the riders worked in groups.
As you can see from the photos, in this Clinic we helped some of the horses to build their confidence in and around traffic. We helped a young pony understand that umbrellas wouldn't harm her. Some riders chased a bicycle in order to add a purpose to their ridden work and feel when a horse is ready to move freely/ willingly. Other riders focused on manoeuvring around objects to give the horse a purpose to leg yields, shoulder in and transitions.
Thank you to everyone for making this event a success. I plan to do more events like this in the summer of 2012. If you would like to come along and ride or spectate then please do contact me asap so that I can put your name on the list. I already have 6 riders booked in.
